Tricia Yap is the founder of one of Hong Kong’s award winning personal training concepts, Limitless. As Hong Kong’s premier functional medicine and fitness concept, located in the heart of Central, Limitless takes personal training to a whole new level of personalisation by integrating strength training, nutritional medicine and functional medicine health coaching.
As one of the most accomplished health and fitness experts in Hong Kong, Tricia is known for going against the grain of the churn and burn model of quick ‘body transformations’. She focuses on helping her clients achieve optimal health from a cellular level as her belief is that the body is one large system of interacting physiological processes that must positively influence one another. Her approach considers all aspects of well-being such as identifying nutritional gaps and deficiencies, enabling nutrient-dense food choices, optimising gut health, improving sleep quality, enhancing detoxification pathways, managing blood sugar and stress, and re-balancing hormones.
Tricia brings with her over 18 years of expertise in the health and fitness industry, including pioneering several fitness concepts that includes included the first female specific fitness community in HK, a boutique martial arts and strength training academy, and a co-founder of holistic lifestyle commercial gym concept in HK. She possesses international qualifications in personal training, strength and conditioning coaching, CrossFit, clinical and sports nutrition, functional medicine health coaching and nutritional medicine. Throughout her career, Tricia has won numerous awards including “Best Fitness Guru”, “Best Personal Trainer”, “Best Health Coach”; with features in TimeOut, CNN, Bloomberg, Tatler South China Morning Post, Prestige and more; was a KOL for Adidas, 2XU and TVB BigBig Channel; and as a guest speaker about women’s health and hormones on international podcasts such as “The Wolfgang Unsold Podcast” and “Steaks, Barbells & Business”. She is currently the performance coach for 13-time BJJ world champion, Oleg Vasilyev and BJJ Black Belt and National Champion, Viking Wong.
Leveraging her extensive experience and expertise, Tricia has been more involved in the health and fitness industry as a presenter and educator. To date, she has done a TedX talk, developed the in-house professional education program for a commercial gym, led workshops at corporates and schools in Hong Kong, and run international seminars on nutritional medicine, strength, and women’s health in Amsterdam and London.
