Dr. Keira Barr is an innovator in transformative wellness, combining her work in integrative dermatology, mind-body medicine and embodied education with body-based trauma healing approaches to skin health.

As a former Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Davis in the departments of dermatology and pathology, editorial reviewer of multiple leading medical journals, medical advisor within the personal care and tech communities, Dr. Barr is dedicated to providing the most-cutting edge and innovative solutions to support women’s health.

Through hosting the Skinny Dipping Prescription podcast and creating her flagship program Somatic Skincare™, she’s redefining skincare as the embodiment of our lived experience through an integrative resilience-informed somatic approach to skin health.

As a sought-after speaker and expert, Dr. Barr has spoken on stages around the world as has been featured on tv, radio and her work has appeared in popular publications including MindBodyGreen, Better Homes and Gardens’, Reader’s Digest, Glamour, SELF, Oprah Magazine, and more. As a featured contributor and medical reviewer, she is also a member of the Mindbodygreen collective.

In addition to writing scientific articles published in highly ranked peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Barr has authored the definitive work on “Mind-Body Therapies in Acne” in the Integrative Textbook of Dermatology. She is also the author of the bestselling book, “The Skin Whisperer.”

She is the Chief Medical Officer of K’ept Health and Chief Mindfulness Officer of Fleurissent Skincare in addition to her role as founder and CEO of the Center for Mind-Skin Medicine.

When she’s not seeing clients, you’ll find her walking the trails near her home in the Pacific Northwest, enjoying dance parties in her kitchen and spending time with her husband and two grown and almost flown children.
